Description
The ABS family of high performance adhesive products are a range made up of both transparent bonding films and foamed acrylic adhesives, all manufactured using a totally new, cutting edge, 100% acrylic mass technology. With a special composition giving excellent all round bonding properties and unique characteristics that allow for very high performance in the most demanding of applications.

Composition
The (ABS) range comprises of products from the ProLink, TransLink and FlexLink product groups and are acrylic adhesive films that do not have a carrier, as the overall tape substrate is adhesive mass. The adhesive is a top performance pressure sensitive formulation giving very good tack with excellent long term, peel and shear performance. They are excellent for bonding two dissimilar surfaces, where you will get differential rates of expansion.

Features, advantages and benefits
The ABS family of acrylic adhesives are ideal for a wide range of bonding and mounting applications, they have excellent conformability to uneven surfaces, excellent all weather performance at both very low and high temperatures, with very good chemical resistance. They perform superbly when bonding stainless steel, aluminium, glass, galvanised steel, PVC, Polycarbonates and a wide variety of plastics to name but a few. They perform very well in the most demanding automotive applications. The tapes are quick clean and easy to use, and come in various thickness from 0.13mm to 2mm giving minimal wastage and can replace mechanical fixings in many applications.

Applications
The ABS family are ideal for the Georgian bar application and will never lift off the PVC or Glass once applied correctly. Other applications include resin systems especially lamination of glass where the Prolink product, with its high level of transparency, is ideal. The ABS family can also be used for fixing body and roof panels in the bus and truck industry as well as mounting body side mouldings in the automotive industry, used as a mounting tape in the illuminated sign industry, used in fabricating road signs, mounting all kinds of metal and stainless steel cladding, metal containers and vessels, plastic trims in the furniture and architectural industries. Also used within the construction of skylights.
