Conservation Tape that Lasts
Because paper is sensitive to its surroundings it can
be severely affected by damp, changes in temperature and humidity, restriction
of movement and exposure to light. With this in mind, UK Industrial Tapes
Ltd is offering a specialist range of Conservation and archival grade
adhesive tapes for use in picture framing, conservation mounting and packaging.
Their range offers permanent, double sided adhesive
tapes that use a water based acrylic adhesive system, which will not react
with sensitive papers. They are acid free, with a neutral pH of 7.70 and
have high initial tack, use non-ageing adhesives that will not turn yellow.
They are ideal for adhering mats, moulding artwork,
attaching dust covers and many other conservation applications, where
a permanent bond is preferred.
